- Modern Transcription
-
March 14th 1630 - paid for two Common prayer books with chains, bossed and bussed.
- Notes
-
'Bust' is an unusual term but taken with 'bossing' most probably refers to the process of adornment, or 'bussing'. These two volumes were chained and their bindings were bossed and bussed.
Although this data was gathered from the printed information found in the Accomptes of the Churchwardens of the Paryshe of St Christopher’s in London 1575-1662 edited by Edwin Freshfield, the foliation refers to the original manuscript.
