Paid the 26th of July for a prayer for the Navy.

The scribe has dated this set of accounts to 1597-98, however, due to surrounding accounts this appears to be a scribal error, and instead are from 1596-97.

Another prayer was published the same year entitled "A prayer of thankesgiuing, and for continuance of good successe to her Maiesties forces" (S125434; S93949). It is a prayer for both the navy and the army. It is possible that this entry refers to this prayer, however, due to the language of the entry it seems more likely that it is referring to the prayer that's been suggested.
