Paid for a quire of paper 4d, and 2s for twice writing of the assessments for the poor in large paper.

For this accounting year, all transactions appear under headings that read "Anno 1607." These headings are unreliable with regard to dating transactions because at times the scribe wrote out the entire date, including the year, in individual entries, and transactions that occurred in 1608 are included under the "Anno 1607" headings. A heading for the second year for this set of accounts (1608) is never written. Similar discrepancies between headings and the dates found in entries are repeated for several years of accounts.
