Parishes
The original parish church was demolished at the end of the sixteenth century. The parish took over the priory church following the dissolution of monastic houses. This structure, rebuilt in the 18th century was destroyed by enemy action in 1940.

Part of the parish of St Anne and St Agnes lay within the jurisdiction of the Peculiar Court of the Dean and Chapter of Westminster
Destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666, it was rebuilt from 1678-84. The church was torn down in 1874.

The church was demolished in 1841. A blue plaque marks its historical location at the intersection of Bartholomew Lane and Threadneele Street.
